Using Streaming Video for Instruction
Pfau Library has hundreds of streaming videos available in its databases, ranging from brief news-type clips to full-length educational videos. All are available for instructors to use in support of their teaching! Students can watch them anytime, anywhere.
Things you can typically do with our streaming videos:
- Link to a single video
Example: La Bohème
- Embed a video playback window within your course page
- Link to a playlist of videos that you created
Example: The Chemistry of Hamburgers
- Link or embed a "clip" or portion of a video that you selected
Example: Interview with Larry Kramer, from "The OUT List"
To enable your students to access the video from off-campus, you must include the library's proxy prefix as part of the video link.
