These books were recommended by Ibram X. Kendi, a professor and director of the Antiracist Research & Policy Center at American University in Washington D.C. This list originally appeared in a New York Times article published on May 29, 2019. This Library Guide was created to give easy access to the Pfau Library's holdings included in that list; we are only missing two of them.
Kendi is the author of Stamped From the Beginning: the Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America (3rd Floor E185.61 .K358 2016) and How to Be an Antiracist (Online).
PLEASE NOTE: Until the Pfau Library devises a workable plan to safely check out the print books, both the ones we own and the ones you would order via CSU+, will have to wait. Rest assured we are working on how that might be done. In the meantime, take a look at the online books. Here is our guide to using ebooks.
Additional online access for some of the print books has been added.
