There's so much to know about the library, and you are a busy person, so this guide will give you a quick overview of your library privileges and the services we offer you.
Information literacy is the set of integrated abilities encompassing the reflective discovery of information, the understanding of how information is produced and valued, and the use of information in creating new knowledge and participating ethically in communities of learning (ACRL, 2015).
Our Critical Information Literacy Laboratory for Faculty is designed especially for you by librarians here at CSUSB! It includes sample discussion prompts, sample small-group activities, and learning objects such as videos and note catchers that you can integrate into your syllabi to help your students develop the skills and awareness they need to think critically about information. These teaching tools can be tailored to your class assignments and student needs in a variety of ways. We hope you'll explore our lab!
There are several ways to reach a librarian when you need one: you can start an online chat, you can call/email your library liaison, or you can schedule a private research appointment. We are happy to work with you at your convenience.
