We're sorry, but during the COVID-19 closures, access to the physical copies of textbooks in our Course Reserves collection is not available.
The library has tried to purchase ebook copies of textbooks wherever possible.
First, check your course in Blackboard to see if your professor has provided a convenient link to an e-textbook. If you do not find it there, then check the library's Course Reserves list.
If you do not find your textbook, or it is only available in print, not online, contact your professor. They may be able to upload limited scans from the textbook into your Blackboard course. The library can help them with this; see Faculty Info: Course Reserves During Closure
Why Aren't All Textbooks Online?
The simple truth is that many textbook publishers do not sell digital versions of textbooks to libraries; they will only sell them directly to students.
Course Reserves print books will NOT be available for check out during Fall 2020. Because we must quarantine books for 3 days after they are returned, there is no practical way for us to handle Course Reserves check-outs as we normally would.
Only books from Pfau Library's general collections may be requested for check-out.
If a copy of your textbook happens to be available in the library outside of Course Reserves (for example, an older edition or a second copy), you can request it for pickup.
