Finding Your Way Around the Pfau Library Building: The Second Floor

The PL building is the most complicated one on campus--don't get lost! #classrooms #lost #PL

The second floor is divided into three self-contained sections that do not allow you to go from one to the other!

SECTION 1: PL - 2XX CLASSROOMS

If your class schedule shows a three-digit room number beginning with 2 (PL-2xx), you want the part of the second floor that can only be accessed via the exterior entrances, numbered 1-3 shown in the photos below and at right. Other PL classrooms (013, 014, 015, 025, & 45) are in the basement.

SECTION 2: THE JOHN M. PFAU LIBRARY

The Pfau Library portion of the second floor houses the Library Administration Office (PL-2007); the Library Instruction Room (PL-2005) where librarians give classes and workshops; and a study area--nothing else.

Use either the front or back first-floor entrance to the Pfau Library, then take the elevators (NOT the first pair of elevators, ONLY the pair closest to the staircase) or the stairs. See our guide, PL-2005: How to Get There.

SECTION 3: THE WEDGE

The Wedge portion of the second floor houses a handful of Academic Technologies & Innovation's offices not normally of interest to students.

Use the first-floor entrance to the Wedge (shown on the Basement and First Floor pages of this guide) and go down the hall to the elevator on your left. Take the elevator to the second floor.
