Laptop reservations are for the San Bernardino Campus Library only; Palm Desert Campus Library will continue to offer loanable laptops on a first come, first served basis.

Laptop reservations ("registration") will open on Monday, May 15, 2023 with dates for pick-up and renewal beginning Monday, May 22, 2023.

  • Choose a date for pick-up on the calendar below (you may arrive at any point during the span of time indicated for that day);
  • Fill out the registration form;

  • If you do not think you will be able to pick up the laptop during the hours indicated on that scheduled date, please cancel your reservation and reschedule for another day (repeat the above process).
  • We will not hold laptops for another day if you fail to pick up during the hours indicated on the date you have reserved.
  • Please take note of the pick-up location for your reservation: 2nd Floor Check-Out Desk.

By reserving a laptop for pick-up, you agree to the terms of the Laptop Borrower Responsibility Agreement (text and PDF attached below).

*After Friday, May 26th, remaining laptops in our inventory will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Laptop Borrower Statement of Responsibility

Eligibility: All laptops and accompanying equipment are the property of CSUSB. Borrowing privileges are available to currently enrolled students with a valid Coyote ID card and a library account in good standing.

Availability: CSUSB Libraries provide a limited number of laptops (Mac and Windows platforms) for students to borrow for the duration of the academic term (fall, winter, spring or summer). Loans are subject to availability and as supplies last.

Borrowing Guidelines: Borrowing is limited to one laptop per student per semester. Students may borrow laptops only for the semester in which they have enrolled. CSUSB Libraries may cancel any request and require immediate return of the laptop if the student has not enrolled in classes. Borrowers must return all laptops and accompanying equipment in person at the specified Check-Out Desk or other designated location. Do not return laptops in the book drops. Borrowers may not redistribute laptops to another person.

Overdue fees: All laptops and accompanying equipment checked out by the borrower are the responsibility of the borrower. Borrowers must return items on time and in good condition. Please see our Check-Out Policies for more information on overdue fees. Lost or damaged laptops will result in no longer being able to borrow laptops and other equipment.

Reserving/borrowing a laptop and other equipment indicates that you agree to the terms above, accept responsibility for the laptop and all equipment checked out to you, and agree to pay all fees associated with the loss, damage, or late return of said equipment.
