- The 18+ books have helped to document Mexican American baseball and community history in California and several other states.
- These books have also helped to instill pride among Chicano youth.
- Our book series is housed at the Research Library at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.
- An important aspect of this project is that we highlight softball and baseball photos and stories to tell a larger narrative of family and community history, as told by community members.
- It is said that the LBHP inspired the Smithsonian to launch its own collecting and traveling exhibit project.
The future of LBHP
- The future of the LBHP seems bright, especially as we begin to develop new partnerships, such as the ones with the Smithsonian and the Dodgers Organization.
