FOR PHONES OR TABLETS

If you want to view a Kanopy film on a phone or tablet, you must first install the Kanopy app, then link it to your CSUSB login.

IMPORTANT TIP: Links to Kanopy films that appear in OneSearch or your Canvas class will take you to the app, but they won't take you directly to the specific film!

You will need to search the app for the title of the film you want, so make sure you know which film you need.

Returning Users of the Kanopy App

If you already have an account through another institution on the Kanopy app--for example, because you watch Kanopy films through your local public library--you can add your CSUSB account.

  1. Go to the More menu
  2. Choose Memberships
  3. Choose Add a library

The rest of the process is like choosing your university, as described in our instructions for first-time Kanopy app users.

SETING UP THE KANOPY APP: NEW USERS

Download the Kanopy app from your app store. The illustrations below are for an Android phone, but iPhone is very similar.

Open the app. Tap the red "Get Started" button.

On the next screen, tap the red "Find University" button.

Choose "Find University," not "Find Library"!

In the search box, start typing: California State University San Bernardino
Then choose us from the list of results.

You will be prompted to login through MyCoyote.

After you complete the MyCoyote connection, the final step is to create a personal Kanopy login. Fill out the required fields, then click
Sign Up.

That's it! Now you can search the app for the film you need to watch.
