Guide Structure

Welcome to the guide on reading a scholarly article. In this guide we will cover a few key points that will make reading through scholarly texts easier. As always, double check with your professor before starting on a research project so see if they have specific formats or objectives for you when reading through articles.

We cover three major topics:

  • What is a scholarly article
  • Parts of a scholarly article
  • Best practices when reading a scholarly article
