I am the Coordinator of Library Instruction at the CSUSB Libraries. I oversee the library's instruction program, our workshop program, and our critical information literacy lab. Additionally, I play an active role in our delivery of synchronous and asynchronous information literacy instruction. I am the library liaison to the departments of Education, Criminal Justice, and Mathematics.
My research interests include active learning within the education models of Universal Design for Learning, Culturally Responsive Teaching, and Andragogy. A recent project I'm involved in is exploring the concept of AI Literacies within the realm of research and information literacy. I am particularly interested in the way first generation students operate and utilize GenAI in the academe and beyond.
