Be sure to check out CompPile's list of Research Bibliographies.
The Research Bibliographies are pre-selected lists of interesting publications on topics of concern to composition studies, such as Stretch Courses, Writing Labs, and placement.
Some of the publications are free and will have simple web addresses you can click on or copy-and-paste.
For the publications that aren't free: if it's a book, check the Pfau Library Catalog. If it's a journal article, feed the citation into Pfau Library's Citation Finder.
CompPile provides citations to published works and links to free web resources. For most book or article results, it will not offer much help in actually locating a copy of the item.
If the CompPile result is a book, look up the book title in the Pfau Library Catalog.
If the CompPile result is a journal article, feed the citation into Pfau Library's Citation Finder.
If the library does not have access to a specific book or article that you need, just ask for a copy through our ILLiad Interlibrary Loan service, and we'll find you a copy from a library that does have it. There is normally no charge to you for this service.
The first time you login to ILLiad, you'll be asked to fill out your personal info; you need only do this one time.
Article delivery is handled entirely online, and articles usually arrive within a couple of days.
Books must be sent to the library through the mail, so they may take a week or so to arrive. You will be notified via email whenever an item you requested has arrived.
