Building the Coyote Legacy: A History of CSUSB
This digital exhibit traces the history and evolution of California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) - from its founding as San Bernardino-Riverside State College in 1960, to its official renaming in 1984. Under the leadership of its first president, John M. Pfau, the university held its inaugural commencement in 1967 for 59 graduates. Highlighting over six decades of growth, the exhibit showcases CSUSB’s leadership, campus development, mascot, school colors, and other key milestones that have shaped its identity and legacy.
