Academia Friendly Journals

Beck, et. al. (2025) define "academia-friendly, non-profit journals" as "those that fully reinvest revenue into the academic community" as opposed to for-profit publishers that engage in activities to generate income for investors. Academia-friendly, not for profit journals  "often struggle for visibility despite promoting more equitable publishing models." Diversify your citational practices by intentionally supporting journals and journal publishers that re-invest in academic publishing.
