HOW TO FIND MEDIA IN ONESEARCH

How to Find Only Streaming Videos

Follow these instructions in order to search all of our streaming video databases at once.

1.  Run a search for a keyword of the title of a video (example: Cognitive Psychology) limited to Books & Media (CSUSB).

Title, author, or keywords here; click on Books & Media (CSUSB) option in the drop down menu.

2.  On the left side of the next screen, find Refine my results.  Under Availability, click the box for Available Online.

3.  Under Resource Type, click the box for Video.

4.  Click the Apply Filters button.

How To Find a Specific Streaming Audio

1.  Run a search for the title of a song or composition (example: Nutcracker Suite) limited to Books & Media (CSUSB).

Title, author, or keywords here; click on Books & Media (CSUSB) option in the drop down menu.

2.  On the left side of the next screen, find Refine my results.   Under Availability, click the box for Available Online.

3.  Under Resource Type, click the box for Audio.

4.  Click the Apply Filters button.

 

Databases With Streaming Audio

Streaming audio is only available in the following databases:

 

How To Find a Specific DVD

1.  Run a search for the title of a show or movie (example: Batman Begins) limited to Books & Media (CSUSB).

2.  On the left side of the next screen, find Refine my results.  Under Resource Type, click the box for DVDs.

3.  Click the Apply Filters button.

 

How To See a List of DVDs

1.  Run this search: dvds and limit it to Books & Media (CSUSB).

2.  On the left side of the next screen, find Refine my results.  Under Resource Type, click the box for DVDs.  This step eliminates everything except the DVDs, for example, books about DVDs.

3.  Click the Apply Filters button.

 

How To Find DVDs at Other CSU Libraries

Simply limit your search to Books & Media (all CSU).  Be sure to sign in to My Library Account so you can request media from other CSU libraries via our CSU+ service.

 

How To Find a Specific Blu-ray

1.  Run a search for the title of a show or movie (example: Dark Knight) limited to Books & Media (CSUSB).

2.  On the left side of the next screen, find Refine my results.  Under Resource Typeclick the box for Blu-rays.

3.  Click the Apply Filters button.

 

How To See a List of Blu-rays

1.  Run this search: blu-ray and limit it to Books & Media (CSUSB).

2.  On the left side of the next screen, find Refine my results.  Under Resource Type, click the box for Blu-rays.  This step eliminates everything except the Blu-rays, for example, books about Blu-rays.

3.  Click the Apply Filters button.

 

How To Find Blu-rays at Other CSU Libraries

Simply limit your search to Books & Media (all CSU).  Be sure to sign in to My Library Account so you can request media from other CSU libraries via our CSU+ service.

How To Find a Specific Audio CD

1.  Run a search for a song or composition's title (example: Moonlight Sonata), a composer's name (example: Gershwin), or a performer's name (example: Marilyn Horne)  limited to Books & Media (CSUSB).

2.  On the left side of the next screen, find Refine my results.  Under Resource Type, click the box for Audio CDs.

3.  Click the Apply Filters button.

 

How To See a List of Audio CDs

1.  Run this search: cds and limit it to Books & Media (CSUSB).

2.  On the left side of the next screen, find Refine my results.  Under Resource Type, click the box for Audio CDs.  This step eliminates everything except the audio CDs, for example, books about audio CDs.

3.  Click the Apply Filters button.

 

How To Find Audio CDs at Other CSU Libraries

Simply limit your search to Books & Media (all CSU).  Be sure to sign in to My Library Account so you can request media from other CSU libraries via our CSU+ service.

 

How To Find a Specific Videocassette

1.  Run a search for the title of a show or movie (example: Hunt for Alien Worlds) limited to Books & Media (CSUSB).

2.  On the left side of the next screen, find Refine my results.  Under Resource Type, click the box for Videocassettes.

3.  Click the Apply Filters button.

 

How To See a List of Videocassettes

1.  Run this search: videocassette and limit it to Books & Media (CSUSB).

2.  On the left side of the next screen, find Refine my results.  Under Resource Type, click the box for Videocassettes.  This step eliminates everything except the videocassettes, for example, books about videocassettes.

3.  Click the Apply Filters button.

 

How To Find Videocassettes at Other CSU Libraries

Simply limit your search to Books & Media (all CSU).  Be sure to sign in to My Library Account so you can request media from other CSU libraries via our CSU+ service.

How To Find a Specific LP

1.  Run a search for the title of an album or song (example: Killing Me Softly) limited to Books & Media (CSUSB).

2.  On the left side of the next screen, find Refine my results.  Under Resource Type, click the box for LPs.

3.  Click the Apply Filters button.

 

How To See a List of LPs

1.  Run this search: lp and limit it to Books & Media (CSUSB).

2.  On the left side of the next screen, find Refine my results.  Under Resource Type, click the box for LPs.  This step eliminates everything except the LPs, for example, books about LPs.

3.  Click the Apply Filters button.

 

How To Find LPs at Other CSU Libraries

Simply limit your search to Books & Media (all CSU).  Be sure to sign in to My Library Account so you can request media from other CSU libraries via our CSU+ service.
