Zotero for Mac: Optional Changes to Zotero Settings

Zotero is a free application that can collect, organize, annotate, cite, and share research.

There are a couple of settings you might like to change.  Go to Settings under the Zotero menu (green arrow below):

In the pop-up window, notice these two options--Sync and Cite (green arrows below).

USE ZOTERO ACROSS MULTIPLE DEVICES

 

- SYNC -

You can create a free account with Zotero that will allow you to use it across multiple devices.  Click the Sync icon shown above and set up your account.

GET RID OF THE RED BOX

 

- CITE -

If you don't like using the default red box to insert in-text citations, here's how to switch to using the Classic View.

1.  Click the Cite icon shown above, in the next window click Word Processors.

2.   Click the box for Use classic Add Citation dialog (green arrow below).
